📍 About Project

🌶️ Bailee’s Kitchen is a woman-owned, small-batch seasoning company built around bold flavor without relying on heavy salt. The brand grew from founder Bailee’s search for flavorful low-sodium options for her family and now sells seasonings online and through Market Street, United, Ace Hardware, and independent retail locations.

I built the WordPress and WooCommerce experience to connect the full brand in one place: direct-to-consumer shopping, a large recipe library, the founder’s story, wholesale outreach, a store finder, newsletter signup, customer accounts, and a playful food-focused visual identity. Elementor Pro powers the responsive layouts, while WooCommerce handles products, variable sizes, bundles, cart, checkout, wishlist, quick-view, and account flows.

The recipe side of the site is structured as a searchable cooking resource with categories for chicken, beef, seafood, pasta, appetizers, desserts, breakfast, and side dishes. Product content and editorial content reinforce one another: visitors can discover recipes, learn how the blends are used, and move directly into the store. A dedicated wholesale experience presents the product line, retail positioning, case-pack ordering, distributor readiness, and an inquiry workflow for retailers and specialty markets.

I also developed the custom Bailee’s Kitchen Seasoning Finder plugin. A floating, conversational assistant asks shoppers a short series of questions about what they cook, preferred flavors, heat tolerance, versatility, and shopping intent. A deterministic weighted-scoring engine matches those answers against live WooCommerce products, presents the best recommendation with an explanation, and lets the shopper add it to the cart without leaving the finder.

The finder reads product price, stock, image, variation, and purchase availability directly from WooCommerce through a custom REST API. Its admin area lets the store control product mappings, placement, branding, and exclusions, while usage analytics track starts, completions, recommendations, product views, and add-to-cart conversions without relying on an external AI service.
